The internationally acclaimed Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja is coming to the Hanover State Opera! Due to illness, he is replacing artist-in-residence Brian Jagde. Accompanied by the Lower Saxony State Orchestra of Hanover and under the direction of the new General Music Director Francesco Angelico, Joseph Calleja will perform arias and duets from Carmen , L'elisir d'amore , Le Cid , and La Bohème . He will also perform with members of the State Opera ensemble, who will sing excerpts from the new season's program. Artistic Director Bodo Busse will charmingly guide the audience through the festive evening.
