For the fifth time already and after the great opera successes FIDELIO 2020, TOSCA 2021, CARMEN 2023 and THE RING ON AN EVENING (ALMOST) WITHOUT WORDS 2024, the Graz venues are inviting you to the Kasematten Castle stage in summer 2025. The usual prominent star line-up will also be available next August: With the soprano Nicole Chevalier, the Austrian-born chamber singer and baritone Thomas Hampson and the Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja, it will be a LA TRAVIATA with a dream cast.

Passion, longing, despair, anger, reconciliation. LA TRAVIATA by GIUSEPPE VERDI is more than just an opera. It is an emotional, musical and dramatic masterpiece. A story about the challenges of life, the power of love and the fragility of human existence, which is particularly moving today.

At the same time, it is also the fifth edition of the cooperation with the Graz Opera, which culminates in an opera spectacle of the highest standard. So you can once again look forward to members of the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra and members of the Graz Opera Choir, conducted by Marcus Merkel.
